New and active cases of COVID-19 in the province continue on the decline. By Monday there were 2,003 active cases, about as many new cases that were discovered every day in Alberta at the end of April. Edmonton Zone had 370 active cases while Calgary Zone had 954 as of Monday.

Hospitalizations from COVID-19 are the same as Sunday at 213, including 56 in ICU, up three from the day previous.

Alberta Health reported two more COVID-19 deaths in the Calgary Zone: a man in his 80s, and a man in his 50s who didn’t have underlying conditions, according to spokesman Tom McMillan.
