Alberta’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw is set to provide Albertans with an update on COVID-19 Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
The appearance, which will also include Alberta Health Services president and CEO Dr. Verna Yiu, is part of a recent increase in COVID-19 updates from Hinshaw as the province deals with soaring case numbers.
On Wednesday Alberta reported its youngest death from COVID-19 to date as hospitalizations and ICU admissions both hit new records.
An 18-year-old in the Central Zone was among the 20 deaths reported Wednesday along with 1,040 hospitalizations including 230 Albertans in ICU.
