Premier Jason Kenney and Health Minister Jason Copping will be providing the latest update on COVID-19 in Alberta on Tuesday afternoon.
The pair, along with chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw and Dr. Verna Yiu, the president and CEO, Alberta Health Services, are slated to hold a press conference at 3:30 p.m.
Earlier Tuesday, the government announced that as of Oct. 11, 152,063 Albertans have registered to receive the $100 prefilled debit card for getting a dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Albertans have until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 14 to receive their first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine if they want to register to get a gift card.
