Alberta Premier Jason Kenney and provincial health officials are set to give an update on COVID-19 Tuesday afternoon.
Kenney will be joined by chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw and Alberta Health Services president and CEO Verna Yiu at 4:30 p.m.
The media availability comes after the province reported 30 new deaths due to COVID-19 on Monday, but the number of hospitalizations and active cases continued to decline.
There were 981 Albertans in hospital, a reduction from the 1,000 in hospital on Friday. Across the province there were 12,302 active cases, a drop of hundreds of cases from the 12,978 reported on Friday.
