Health Minister Tyler Shandro and Education Minister Adriana LaGrange will join Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw for an update on COVID-19 Thursday afternoon.
Alberta reported 399 new infections Wednesday, bringing the number of active cases to 4,463. Currently, 254 Albertans are in hospital with COVID-19, including 37 in intensive care.
Forty-seven new variant cases were confirmed for a total of 734. The majority are in Edmonton Zone, with 317, and Calgary Zone, at 271. Central Zone has 130, South Zone 11 and North Zone five.
Shandro, LaGrange and Hinshaw will speak at 3:30 p.m.
