A 32-year-old Edmonton man has been airlifted to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a hit and run early Sunday morning.

RCMP said in a release Sunday their preliminary investigation shows a vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 16 struck the pedestrian at Range Road 40B at the Wabamun overpass, about 70 km west of Edmonton.
Police said the vehicle involved did not stop and remain on the scene, which was attended by Parkland County RCMP, AHS ambulance and STARS.
Police are asking anyone with information, surveillance footage, or who might have witnessed the incident between 3 and 4 a.m. Sunday to contact them.
An RCMP Collision Analyst was called into help with the investigation, and police said evidence seized on scene suggests the vehicle involved sustained damage to the front end.
