A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.
Sunday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station measured 3 C with 9 km/h winds out of the west, northwest.
Granted, Friday was fantastic striking over 20 C but the gusty winds suggest an undercurrent of danger when spring grounds are so dry. Take the smattering of showers with a forecast high of 13 C, and maybe our last overnight freezing prospect, as another side of beauty and try to chase a shard or two of sun if you can. There’s a giddiness at the prospect of stepping outside into warmth whereas drizzle is conducive to reflection in peace. No matter the weather, nature offers no screeching (just some crows and magpies, if we tune in), handwringing, claims of righteousness. Rather the elements construct how we feel. That is some good medicine right there. Oh, and bring the garden plants in overnight or toss a sheet down if you got excited and potted some happiness a tad too soon. Protect those blooms as they shield you.
