Our weather system is tugging on her good stockings, about to give us a bit of a show. Sadly, she will have this lingering haze though which to trapeze all her systems …and it won’t be from fog, rather wildfire smoke, the norm now with our summer weather forecasts. Though the air quality index for Edmonton dropped from a smoker’s-cough 8 to a 3 by 5 a.m. Saturday, a warning remains as we are stuck under the threat of more severe enveloping smoke for days and days ahead. Thank you weather sister for the turbulent dance this weekend, your blustering system, perhaps even a crack of thunder for emphasis, entertaining while giving us a sliver of respite (22 C) from the ground-splitting heat. As I write this, your thunderous entry does sound.
