Early morning temperatures of -14 degrees with tons of sunshine. Winds of 15 km/h. Warming up to a temperature of 3 degrees in the afternoon. Becoming partly cloudy in the evening and an overnight low of -5 with the wind chill it will feel more like -8.
Looks like a beautiful Thursday for March in Edmonton. I will let my kids run and play outside. Even if it means that their snowsuits get soggy and I have to wash them.
It’s hard to believe a year ago my kids were enjoying their last day of in-class schooling for the year. Who knew that we would be looking back at what is now the weirdest year in my memory with such fondness for the time spent walking around the neighbourhood because we were still getting the hang of the “quarantine thing.”
The beautiful weather reminds me of how far we’ve come since our first lockdown and how we’ve learned to appreciate the little things. Like a beautiful sunny day in March.
Does Lisa need a coat (and mittens)?
