Can you believe it? After nearly a full week of smoky, overcast skies we are seeing blue skies and sunshine! Now don’t come at me because I realize that we desperately needed the rain and I feel for the folks in B.C. being devastated by fires but the sunshine is amazing!
It looks like it will stick around for a couple days which is a great excuse to get out and enjoy some of the fun events that are going on around the city.
The Summer Fun Midway kicks off today at 1 p.m. and runs until Aug. 1 at the Edmonton Expo grounds. Packed with great rides, food, games and entertainment it should be a great way to spend a beautiful summer day.
Taste of Edmonton kicked off yesterday and runs until Aug. 1 at Sir Winston Churchill Square. There are over 50 locally owned restaurants and food trucks to visit and some great entertainment to enjoy while you chow down on whatever cuisine makes your mouth water.
Postmedia photographer David Bloom was at the kick off event yesterday to capture all the fun!
