Edmonton weather: By the pricking of my thumb, something chilly this way comes

Well, I packed up all the wind chimes, solar lights and knick-knacks around the yard on the weekend. Which can be a good thing because you don’t want them to get broken once the snow temps hit. But there is always this feeling once the leaves are raked and the shed doors are closed this yard once populated with sounds and blinking lights now sits empty. A wind blows the remnants of what couldn’t be packed up, but soon, soon there will be different lights and sounds, as we edge closer and closer to the night where your porch glows with fiery eyes and smiles from the carved faces of jack-o-lanterns and the sounds of roaring monsters and ghostly whispers inhabit our neighborhoods.

Who doesn’t love October!?
