A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.

My son came home right before spring break talking about his teacher playing his class the Friday song. He asked if I remembered it, which of course I did!

The song used to play on the radio every Friday at around 3:30 p.m. As a “country kid” this meant that we were sitting on the school bus riding home after a long week and we would ask the bus driver to turn up the volume and all got a little silly dancing and singing along. It was a great memory from childhood and many hours spent on bus number 6.

Right now it is minus 2 degrees in Edmonton which feels more like minus 6 with the windchill.

Today is going to be a beautiful day with a mix of sun and clouds and a high of 12 degrees. Expect it to be a little breezy with gust reaching 40 km/h around midday.

Just a gorgeous Friday in April which is probably why that song keeps popping into my head. I just want to get out and enjoy the weather before it turns to rain and cooler temperatures for the weekend.
