The pond is starting to get a crust of ice on top that doesn’t melt away in the sunshine during the day. You can see a layer of frost on the grass every morning. A couple of signs that winter will be here sooner than we think.

In fact, it looks like we have a 60 per cent chance of flurries this evening and the wind will pick up too. We are expecting gusts of wind from 30 km/h to 50 in the evening. Tonight might feel like that first blast of wintery weather.
