I looked out my window this morning and there it was. I couldn’t believe my eyes. The tiniest skiff of snow. It didn’t last on the grass but on the deck it stuck around just long enough for me to catch a glimpse. I’m not sure I’m ready for winter yet. I know this is how it goes. I’ve lived here all my life but it doesn’t seem to change, I’m always surprised by the first snowfall.

It wasn’t enough to say it was the first snowfall of the season. It’s already melted away into a puddle by now. If this is a sign of things to come I think winter may be right around the corner. I’m actually okay with that. Once the leaves fall off the trees and everything goes dormant I find myself hoping for some snow. It always looks so pretty after a fresh snowfall. But not yet!
