The heat has been taking a toll on everyone but we’re also experiencing extremely dry conditions. We are at a high risk of wildfires. So take care when disposing of cigarettes, listen to all fire restrictions for your area and report anything if you see it.
Today we will see a high of 30 degrees and sunny skies. There is a 30 per cent chance of showers or thunderstorms late this evening and overnight. I hope we do see a little bit of precipitation. We need it desperately. We will see a slight drop in temperatures in the coming days.
Smoke from wildfires in BC has started to make its way into the province. Thanks to this the sky this morning has a glowing orange hue. We will see the haze stick around throughout the day. Be aware that the air quality will be affected and take care if you have any underlying health conditions.
