Like a set of cruel Christmas lights, dimming hopes of more than a skiff, the days ahead continue to be strung with balls of sunshine, no snow. It’s fine, for lovers of the snowpack are a hardy bunch. We continue, Nutcracker march, pleasantly pleased with cracks of mere frost underfoot, having balls of fun still. Snowballess. Roasting chestnuts (yum!). Mark our words. It may not arrive in time for Christmas, but it will come. Bringing beauty, peak bounty, blizzards and all, snowfall, it will come.
