A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.
Tuesday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station measured -21.7 C with 4 km/h winds out of the northwest with a wind chill of -25.
We made it! No more extreme cold warning this, and polar vortex that. Things are finally coming up Milhouse!
But, and you just knew there was going to be a but, we’re not there quite yet. It’s still -21 C with a -25 wind chill this morning, and we might see some snow this morning and this afternoon. Overnight temperatures are expected to dip back below -20 C tonight so you might need to plug in the car one more night but it’s certainly better than what we’ve been dealing with the past couple weeks.
The best part is it’s only going to get better. Tomorrow, we’re looking at single-digit highs and sunshine as temperatures inch upwards towards zero. By the weekend, forecasters are calling for temperatures to rise to 4 C Saturday and 5 C Sunday. Sounds like patio weather to me….

I want to say no but it’s just too soon for that. Keep the coat and mittens but have t-shirts and shorts on standby.
