The barometric pressure is on the way down at Edmonton’s Blachford weather station at this hour, making way for a 30 per cent chance of showers and a risk of a thunderstorm this afternoon. It’s 18 C with a high of 25 C on the way.

As mentioned in this space yesterday, there are a bunch of fun activities going on in and around the city this weekend including, Splash Day at City Hall, The Rainmaker Rodeo in St. Albert, UFest Edmonton Ukrainian Festival at Borden Park, to name a few. Also, maybe you’ve seen a couple of interesting characters pop up around the city. They are part of Downtown Spark, running from May 25 to June 4 around Downtown.
Perhaps the most important thing you can do is take advantage of the last day of advance voting ahead of Monday’s provincial election.
Polls close at 8 p.m. Until then, you can find your nearest place to vote on the Elections Alberta website.
