Who doesn’t love a good dad pun anyway?

A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.

Hey look, April is (counts on his fingers) less than 72 hours away! I can smell the blossoms already…

And then I woke up.

That trip to Victoria, B.C. — it was in my dreams. Big sigh. And unless you’re reading this from Victoria (where the high will be 11 today under sunny skies), it’s in your dreams, too.

Today will be a reminder that we still live in this part of Canada.

Today’s forecast says snow will end later this morning with chances of flurries this afternoon. Cloudy skies.

And the wind! Those gusts you heard last night in your dreams weren’t soft ocean breezes, those were bordering on gale force — and they’ll continue today.

Tomorrow, warmer but still windy and windchilly.

HOWEVER! The forecast is also calling for a sunny high of 14 by Wednesday (17 by Thursday, April 1) So take that, Victoria! (as I stare at the brown lawn and bare trees).

Today: Snow ending early this morning then mainly cloudy. 30 percent chance of flurries late this afternoon. Wind northwest 60 km/h gusting to 80 diminishing to 40 gusting to 60 this morning. High minus 4. Wind chill minus 18 this morning and minus 12 this afternoon. UV index 3 or moderate.

This space is dedicated to some of the great and interesting photos taken by Postmedia photographers while they’re out and about town.

Sorry, Wile E., no road runners in these parts! If you head south on 82 Street, you might find a few places that’ll sell you some T-N-T, though. Greg Southam spied this coyote along Strathearn Crescent yesterday. Nice coat, btw!
