The Telus World of Science Edmonton (TWOSE) is asking Edmontonians to seek out the sub in the city for a chance to win some prizes.
Every weekend until Nov. 7, the science centre will have a new location for their sub, and they will tease it throughout the week on their Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
All of this exploring is being done to promote the upcoming exhibition titled James Cameron – Challenging the Deep.
It features Cameron and his team as they design, build and deploy a spherical-shaped sub called the Deepsea Challenger, which was created to protect the filmmaker from the ocean’s pressure as he dives to a record-breaking depth of 35,787 feet.
Now, sub seekers, it’s up to you to figure out where the sub floated to that weekend snap a photo of you in the sub or just the sub itself and use the hashtag #TWOSEsub to enter to win a prize pack of tickets to visit the exhibition.
At the end of the contest, all eligible entries will be entered to win the grand prize.
Valued at over $500, it includes an annual family membership to the science centre, an ocean light and sound projector and a Lego underwater exploration kit.
On Saturday, the TWOSE account tweeted: “This weekend # is at Root 107 – an inclusive public space that brings together food, drinks and free entertainment all in one spot. Check out a storytelling afternoon, a performance night of Indigenous music, and more! Share your pic with our sub to enter to win! #
But it won’t be there forever, so go forth sub seekers and snap away.
