Two of the girls were nine years old at the time of the alleged offences while the third girl was 11 years old.

Police say Lavigne taught in numerous public schools across the city over his 30-year career.

“Investigators believe there may be additional complainants and are encouraging anyone who may have been victimized to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone,” the statement says.
