A 30-year-old man from Clairmont is dead after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night near Grande Prairie.
At 11:37 p.m., police responded to the fatal collision on Highway 2 at 107 Avenue in Clairmont, about 450 km northwest of Edmonton, an RCMP release said Monday.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene. Fire services and emergency medical services were also on scene, where the driver and passenger of the vehicle involved were treated and released. Police said the name of the deceased will not be released.
Grande Prairie RCMP officers, with the assistance of the RCMP collision reconstructionist, continue to investigate the collision.
