Edmonton city police asked motorists to avoid 149 Street north of the Yellowhead Trail for a few hours Thursday morning following a fatal collision with a train that left one man dead.
Police said in a news release first responders and CN Rail officials were investigating the collision. Police described the man as being a pedestrian.
CN Rail’s Jonathan Abecassis said in an email the company declined to comment.
