A man was transported to hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound in Vermilion early Friday morning.

Vermilion RCMP received a complaint of a disturbance at a home in the area of 47 Street and 50 Avenue at approximately 12:12 a.m.
Mounties say a preliminary investigation found that three suspects were seen banging at the door of a residence and a “loud noise” was heard. The suspects then fled the scene in a newer model of a black Ram 2500 with black wheels, according to RCMP.
RCMP received a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound who had made his way to Vermilion Health Centre around 12:31 a.m. The victim was taken to hospital via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
Mounties believe the incident was targeted and there’s not believed to be any risk to the public.
The investigation remains ongoing with the assistance of St. Paul RCMP forensic identification section.
