A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a one-tonne truck along Highway 2 north of Edmonton on Friday.
Fairview RCMP said in a release that the collision happened on the highway between Range Road 33 and Range Road 34. Two motorcycles were travelling south when they crashed into the truck heading north.
Police said one of the motorcyclists was pronounced dead at the scene. The other drivers were not hurt.
Highway 2 is expected to be impassible for several hours as police investigate. The public is asked to avoid the area.
