Edmonton police are investigating a collision that left a 44-year-old motorcyclist dead Thursday.
At around 4:45 p.m., a 2013 Dodge Journey was travelling southbound on 97 Street when the driver attempted a left-hand turn near 137 Avenue and was struck by a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, causing the SUV to roll over.
Despite efforts by paramedics, the motorcyclist died from his injuries on scene. The driver of the SUV, a 78-year-old driver, was uninjured.
Police are still investigating and no charges had been laid as of Thursday evening.
