On Sunday, at about 4:50 p.m., Morinville RCMP were called to a serious injury collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Highway 37 near the Hamlet of Calahoo, Alta. Despite first aid efforts by emergency medical services, the man driving the motorcycle died, police said in a Monday news release.
RCMP are reminding the public that motorcyclists are more vulnerable than other drivers as they do not have the protection of enclosed vehicles, and are smaller and less visible.
“Motorcyclists and drivers alike should remember to watch out for each other and share the road safely,” police said.
RCMP continue to investigate the collision.
Calahoo is approximately 50 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
