My take
1. The two big storylines for tonight’s game are Pickard in the nets, and whether or not Connor McDavid can finally pick it up at even strength and put some points on the board.
2. McDavid has just one even strength point in his last eight games, just five on the season in 14 games. Overall, he ranks 270th out of 374 NHL forwards who have played at least 100 even strength minutes this year.
