City police are carrying out a search of southwest Edmonton with hopes of finding a missing 25-year-old woman.
Sobiah Ahmad, 25, was last seen on Dec. 28, 2020 in the Chappelle neighbourhood, leading to Edmonton Police Service (EPS) actively investigating her whereabouts as a missing person. Police are working with regional search and rescue members this morning to conduct an “extensive” search of the southwest Edmonton area, EPS said in a news release.
Ahmad is described as being 5’2″ in height, weighing 144 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes as well as a nose piercing and tattoos on her right hand, right wrist, right ear and right clavicle. She is known to have ties to Edmonton, Calgary, Langley, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Montreal.
Police said her disappearance is considered out of character. Law enforcement and her family are worried about her well-being.
