St. Albert RCMP are investigating a bomb threat received by a local high school.

RCMP were notified by Bellerose Composite High School of a bomb threat that was reported to the school to take place on Wednesday, Nov. 10. An investigation into the threat was opened by the RCMP and they began safety planning with the school.
In a Tuesday news release, St. Albert RCMP said they take threats like these very seriously.
“We investigate thoroughly as such threats can have a significant impact on students, staff, families and our community’s feeling of safety and mental wellbeing,” said the release.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the threat is asked to contact the RCMP.
