A haul of seized drugs and the arrests of three suspects after Mounties raided locations in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and Edmonton is a blow to organized crime in Parkland County, say RCMP.

The Parkland RCMP Drug Unit and Crime Reduction Unit executed the warrants April 10 at homes in Edmonton and Spruce Grove as well as two storage lockers in Stony Plain, said a Thursday news release.

Items seized include what is believed to be:

· 11 kg of cocaine;

· 2.5 kg of fentanyl;

· 8700 Etizolam (sedative) capsules;

· 15 litres of liquid cocaine; and

· 100 kg of buff (cutting agent).

Police also seized drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and over $2,000 in Canadian currency.

“This is one of the most significant drug seizures we’ve seen in Parkland,” said Insp. Mike Lokken, Officer in Charge of Parkland RCMP, said in a statement. “This seizure will undoubtedly have a major impact on the organized crime and illicit drug trade in our area.”
