The suspicious death of a man in downtown Edmonton last week has been ruled a homicide.

Autopsy results released by city police Tuesday found the 31-year-old victim, Elmer Daurie, died from a sharp force injury. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Officers responded to a call outside of a convenience store near 115 Street and 107 Avenue around 6:10 p.m. on July 12 and found the man on the ground in distress. Paramedics declared him dead at the scene.
