Two children sent to hospital after being struck by vehicle in Sherwood Park

A vehicle struck and injured two children in Sherwood Park Wednesday afternoon.

The children were sent to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Strathcona RCMP said in a news release. Officers and paramedics were called out to the crash just after 2 p.m. on Crimson Drive near Carlyle Crescent in Sherwood Park.

The driver was not injured.

Police closed off the road to drivers for several hours while a collision analyst reviewed the scene.

No other information was released.
